A small gesture in dark water.
I photographed Love Poem beneath a bridge in Den Bosch. A heart-shaped leaf drifted along an autumn stream while narrow reflections drew soft lines across the dark water.
The leaf gives the frame a point of colour and a recognisable shape. Everything around it becomes rhythm and space. The photograph won its category at MontPhoto 2025, placed second in its category at Close-up Photographer of the Year 2026, and was an Art of Nature finalist at BigPicture 2026.
