Untamed Sculpture approaches the stag beetle as a symbol of primal elegance and timeless strength. The insect is separated from its familiar scale until armour, limbs and mandibles begin to read as sculptural forms.
Abstract framing and dramatic contrasts move between recognition and ambiguity. A polished shell becomes a dark landscape; a claw becomes a line drawing; the beetle's face holds both power and vulnerability.
The series is a tribute to the artistry found in the smallest forms of life. It asks the viewer to look beyond instinctive reactions and encounter the delicate balance between raw strength and fragile beauty.

Scale changes everything.
In this earlier exhibition presentation, the beetle moved between fragment and figure. Alternating dark and light works allowed details to surface slowly, while changing print sizes reinforced the tension between the insect's physical scale and its monumental presence.
