About the photograph
Four shapes in soft pink.
Four flamingo heads emerge from an almost white background. Their necks form different lines, with the heads at different heights. Soft pink brings colour to an otherwise very light frame.
That repetition holds Feathered Four together. Each bird has its own shape, while the open spaces keep the composition calm. Simple lines catch the eye first; the small differences between the birds follow.
